Between August 27 and 29, 2024, the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, participated in the 10th Summit of the Chiefs of European Land Forces, which was held in Dresden, Germany.

As reported by the GES, the purpose of the meeting was to form a common understanding for dealing with the challenges and threats in the wider geostrategic environment of the European region. In particular, the core capabilities of the Land Forces, the future of mechanized operations, and the modern requirements for future leaders were discussed.

During the session, the participants were presented with weapons, systems such as armored tanks and vehicles, anti-aircraft such as the Skyranger, portable anti-tank weapons and individual rifles. The presentations were made by officers of the German army and also by officers of companies such as KNDS and Rheinmetall.
