As a stability pillar and supporter of security and prosperity in the region, Greece is active in the diplomatic developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East, stress diplomatic sources.
In this context, they report that Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias is making a series of contacts with his counterparts in the region. In fact, Mr. Dendias will be the first EU Minister of Foreign Affairs to visit Israel and the Palestinian Territories since the beginning of the crisis, the same sources note.
Finally, it is pointed out that the meeting with the Patriarch of Jerusalem indicates the reasonable interest of the country in the protection of Holy Places and their preservation.
